University of Louisville football coach Bobby Petrino said his team is "excited abut the challenge" of heading to Tallahassee, Fla., and taking on Florida State in Saturday's noon ACC game at Doak Campbell Stadium.
The Cardinals haven't had much success on the road in Tallahassee.
Louisville has dropped eight straight games in Tallahassee, dating back to 1952 when the Cardinals beat the Seminoles 41-14 in the first game of the series between the two schools.
FSU leads the series 13-2 all-time with the Cardinals wins coming in '52 and 2002. The two teams met last season and Florida State won that meeting 42-31 after the Cardinals led 21-0.
Will Gardner threw for 330 yards in the loss for Louisville, while Jameis WInston had 401 yards passing for the Seminoles.
Florida State has won 27 straight ACC games.
