Louisville commitment Jawon Pass has been named a U.S. Army All-American

University of Louisville football commitment Jawon Pass, a quarterback from Columbus, Ga., Carver High School, has been named a U.S. Army All-American. He'll play in the All-American game on Jan. 9 in San Antonio, Tx.

Jawon Pass is officially an All-American.

The University of Louisville quarterback commitment from Columbus, Ga. Carver High School was awarded his jersey for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Wednesday morning in a ceremony at his school.

The 6-foot-5, 220-pound Pass will compete in the Army All-American Bowl on Jan. 9 in San Antonio, Tx.

"I'm excited," Pass said in an interview last weekend. "You can always get better but I've had a pretty good season. We have really improved since the beginning of the season. It's exciting for me."

Pass, who has helped his team to a 6-1 record this season, picked the Cardinals in July. He picked U of L over Auburn and Alabama and is a four-star prospect and the No. 11 quarterback in the country.

He's the first U of L commitment to make the Army game since James Quick in 2013. But other U of L commits in recent years include Teddy Bridgewater, Nick Dawson-Brents, Gerod Holliman, Keith Brown and Eli Rogers. Brian Brohm was the first U of L commitment to ever play in the Army back in 2004.

The game is televised on NBC.
