The University of Louisville and Boston College will meet on the gridiron for the eighth time in history on Saturday when the Cardinals' host the Eagles' at 12:30 p.m. in Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.
Louisville has won the last two meetings and leads the series 4-3.
The Cardinals beat Boston College 38-19 last season in Chestnut Hills, Mass., when Reggie Bonnafon came into the game after Will Gardner was injured. U of L trailed 14-3 but scored 21 unanswered points in a 38-19 victory.
Bonnafon rushed for 76 yards, while DeVante Parker had eight catches for 144 yards and a TD in the victory.
U of L also won the previous meeting, a 52-28 victory in 1998 - the first year of Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. U of L also won against Boston College in 1989 and '90.
Boston College won the first meeting in the series in 1986 and also won in '91 and '94. The victory in '91 came at Old Cardinal Stadium and is the only victory the Eagles have in Louisville.
