It's Friday Night under the lights for the University of Louisville football team.
The Cardinals will travel to Winston Salem, N.C., to play Wake Forest in an ACC Confernece game on Friday night at 7 o'clock. The game will be televised on ESPN2.
It's the third meeting between the two schools.
The first time U of L and Wake Forest met on the football field was the last game Bobby Petrino coaches for the Cardinals in his first stint, a 24-13 victory in the 2007 FedEX Orange Bowl. Former U of L quarterback Brian Brohm threw for 311 yards in the victory and was named MVP of the game to end the 2006-07 season in Miami.
The game is still billed as one of the biggest games in school history.
The two teams met a second time last season - U of L's first in the ACC. The Cardinals held the Demon Deacons to minus-22 yards rushing and 100 yards of total offense in a 20-10 victory in Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.
So, the Cardinals are 2-0 in the series.
The Cardinals are also a perfect 7-0 on Friday night games under Petrino, including a 28-6 win last October at Syracuse. U of L is 44-28-1 all-time on Friday night games in school history.
