University of Louisville offensive coordiantor Garrick McGee has answered the questions all season about the number of quarterbacks in his meeting room. The questions have been about having too many QBs.
But now McGee was the one smiling on Tuesday.
With Lamar Jackson and Reggie Bonnafon both sidelined last weekend with injuries, sophomore Kyle Bolin started and threw for more than 300 yards in leading the Cardinals to a 41-17 win over Syracuse.
As the Cardinals prepare for Virginia on Saturday, Bolin is the starter and McGee said he's "really, really improved."
And McGee is also happy he has all those guys in his room.
"I want more," McGee said in response to a question about having three capable QBs to play, noting the competition when he has more than one QB. "They all know I want more (guys) in my meeting room."
All three QBs have started games this season and all three could be used this weekend. Jackson (ankle) and Bonnafon (concussion) are both back at practice for the Cardinals.
