Louisville women's coach Jeff Walz has signed Colorado shot blocker Kylee Shook

Louisville women's basketball coach Jeff Walz has landed a big-time shot blocker - Kylee Shook - from the state of Colorado. The 6-foot-4 Shook, who was the first commitment in the Class of 2016 more than a year ago, is signed and officially a Cardinal.

The first commitment in the Class of 2016 for the University of Louisville women's basketball team has signed.

Colorado forward Kylee Shook, one of the top prospects on the West Coast and the premier shot-blocker in the country, signed her letter-of-intent with the Cardinals. She'll be one of five new U of L players ink with the Cardinals on Wednedsay.

The 6-foot-4 Shook is from Colorado Springs, Colo., Mesa Ridge High School had a quadruple-double last season in one game and has already set the Colorado record for career blocked shots.

As a junior, Shook averaged 18.9 points, 15.3 rebounds and 8.2 blocks a game. She has 496 career blocked shots with one year left. Shook was a first-team All-State selection by the Denver Post her first three seasons at Mesa Ridge.

She's ranked as the No, 18 prospect in the nation by Scout.com.
