Louisville coach Jeff Walz adds elite post Ciera Johnson of Duncanville, Tx., to Class of 2016

The University of Louisville women's basketball staff was looking for an elite post player in the Class of 2016 and they got one - Ciera Johnson. The 6-foot-4 center from Duncanville, Tx., has signed with the Cardinals.

Jeff Walz needed an elite post player in the Class of 2016.

And the University of Louisville women's basketball coach has scored just that with Ciera Johnson.

The 6-foot-4 Johnson is considered one of the elite players at the center position and picked the Cardinals last month over Texas, Texas A&M and Baylor. She has signed and is official.

Johnson averaged 14.9 points, 9.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 3.2 blocks and 1.2 steals a game as a junior at Duncanville, one of the elite programs in the country. She shot 57 percent from the floor as a junior.

She is ranked No. 15 by ESPN.com and No. 33 by ProspectsNation.com.
