Trinity linebacker Vincent Lococo and St. Xavier defensive end Ethan Adams will walk-on at Louisville next season

The University of Louisville football staff isn't finished with the Class of 2016 recruiting class just yet, but the Cardinals are already making solid additions to the walk-on group that will arrive on campus next summer. Two local stars were added to the mix on Wednesday.

The University of Louisville's list of preferred walk-ons grew in impressive fashion on Wednesday.

The Cardinals landed commitments from two of the top defensive players in town to become preferred walk-ons for next season. Trinity linebacker Vincent Lococo and St. Xavier defensive end Ethan Adams will join the roster this summer.

Both players visited the Cardinals' practice on Tuesday and have been to campus on previous occasions.

The 6-foot, 220-pound Lococo was one of the best defensive players on the Shamrocks' rock solid defense for three seasons. He was second on the team as a junior with 49 tackles and had 30 tackles - including 10 tackles for a loss - as a senior. Lococo also had 3.5 sacks, one interception, one blocked kick and one fumble recovery as a senior.

Lococo had several other options, including an offer from Morehead State, but Tweeted he's committed to Louisville. Lococo could also be used as a fullback for the Cardinals.

The 6-foot-2, 220-pound Adams, who was also getting several smaller school looks, also Tweeted that he's committed.

Adams had 25 tackles, including four tackles, three tackles for a loss and one interceptions for the Tigers this season. He was a two-year starter and leader on the St. Xavier football team.

Louisville also has a walk-on commitment from Leslie County offensive lineman Blake Asher and Collins' long snapper Kyle Goss.
