The University of Louisville 2016 football recruiting class is nearly full, but there is still some room left for a few additions before National Signing Day in early February.
The Cardinals coaching staff will host a group of prospects this weekend on official visits and among them is expected to be Coconut Creek, Fla., cornerback Trayvon Mullen. The trip to Louisville will be the third official visit Mullen has made, spending time with Florida State and TCU in recent weeks.
The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Mullen is also considering LSU, Alabama and Clemson.
"Defensive Backs with length are always in demand and at 6-foot-2, Mullen is one of the biggest," says his Scout.com Player Analysis. "Has long arms and while a little lean today, his frame is capable of carrying plenty of weight. Explosive out of his breaks, it is his ability to flip his hips that is his calling card. Size gives him ability to match-up with the taller wide receivers in the red-zone."
Selected as a U.S. Army All-American, Mullen is rated as a four-star prospect and one of the nation's top five corners by Scout.com.
