QB commitment Tylin Oden, who is getting interest from Ohio State and LSU, will make his official visit this weekend to Louisville

The University of Louisville football staff will host a handful of prospects this coming weekend, including QB commitment Tylin Oden. The Columbia, Tenn., Spring Hill High School star confirmed to Cardinal Authority that he'll start his visit on Friday.

Tylin Oden has been committed to the University of Louisville since May.

But the Columbia, Tenn., Spring Hill High School standout quarterback has been considered a longshot to sign with the Cardinals since four-star quarterback Jawon Pass committed to the Cardinals in July.

The 6-foot-5, 190-pound Oden never de-committed from the Cardinals but is hearing from other schools. But this weekend he'll be making an official visit to Louisville where he said he's "still committed."

"Yes this weeend," Oden confirmed his official visit. "And I am extremely excited."

Oden, who said he has no other official visits set up, has picked up interest recently from Ohio State and LSU.

As a senior at Spring Hill, Oden accounted for more than 4,000 total yards of offense for a 3-7 squad. He was named as the region's Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.
