ACC Coaches select 10 Louisville football players for the All-ACC football teams

The ACC coaches selected 10 players from the University of Louisville onto the All-ACC team. Linebacker Keith Kelsey and defensive end Sheldon Rankins both were the highest selections from U of L, picked onto the second team.

The University of Louisville football team didn't have a player selected to the first-team All-ACC squad - picked by the coaches.

But the Cardinals had two players selected to the second team, three on the third and five more on honorable mention after a 7-5 season where the Cardinals finished 5-3 in league play.

Linebacker Keith Kelsey and defensive end Sheldon Rankins voted to the All-ACC second team, while linebacker James Burgess, cornerback Trumaine Washington safety Josh Harvey-Clemons made the third team.

Wide receiver James Quick, defensive tackle DeAngelo Brown, outside linebackers DeVonte Fields and Trevon Young and cornerback Shaq Wiggins were voted honorable mention.

Kelsey was a first-team All-ACC pick last week by the media, while Brown made the second team. On the media's third team was Burgess and Fields, while Young, Wiggins, Washington, Harvey-Clemons and Geron Christian made honorable mention on that squad.

The Cardinals will play Texas A&M in the Music City Bowl on Dec. 30 in Nashville, Tenn.
