Longtime Louisville commitment Caleb Tillman of Alabama made his official visit; ready to get to U of L campus in June

Longtime University of Louisville football commitment Caleb Tillman was on campus last weekend for his official visit and left impressed. Tillman recaps the visit and talks about his excitement to get to campus in June.

Dothan, Ala., Northview High School defensive end Caleb Tillman has been committed to the University of Louisville since July and totally shut down his recruitment to other schools after making his pick.

This past weekend, Tillman was able to make his official visit to his future home.

And the 6-foot-4, 260-pound Tillman had rave reviews.

"It was very nice," Tillman said. "It was so good to get there and to be able to see the coaches and the players. I knew it was the place for me but it was a breathe of fresh air for me to see I made the right pick."

Tillman said he spent time talking with defensive coordinator Todd Grantham and defensive line coach L.D. Scott, his primary recruiter, while he was on U of L's campus.

He's expected to play defensive end at the next level.

"They told me to come in and be ready to compete," Tillman said. "They said I have a great opportunity next year and with all of the guys we have coming back they want to win the (national championship).

"I just have to work hard now and be ready when I get on campus."

Tillman called Scott "just a great guy," and said he can't wait to play for him.

"We have really built a great relationship," Tillman said. "I can't wait to get there in June."

Tillman confirmed that he's "done" in his recruitment and isn't talking to any other schools. He will arrive in early June.
