The Louisville women's basketball team wins a 12th straight game, beating Syracuse 71-53 on Monday night to move to 15-5

The University of Louisville women's basketball team has won 12 straight games after a 71-53 victory on Monday night at Syracuse. The Cardinals are ranked No. 14 and are now 15-5 on the season after starting 1-4.

The University of Louisville women's basketball team just keeps on winning.

The Cardinals started the season 1-4 but won for a 12th straight game on Monday night, whipping Syracuse 71-53 before just a few hundred fans at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, N.Y.

Sophomore Myisha Hines-Allen scored a career-high 27 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Cardinals, who used a 12-2 run to end the first quarter to open a 22-6 lead.

Asia Durr had 13 of her 16 points in the first half as the lead grew to 39-20.

Briahanna Jackson added 11 points, nine rebounds, and five assists for the Cardinals. U of L did turn it over 28 times.

The Cardinals are now 15-5 on the season and 7-0 in ACC play.
