Louisville safety commit P.J. Blue has become a priority prospect in recent weeks, drawing rising interest from a number fof Power 5 programs.
Ranked among the nation's top 50 safeties nationally and No. 17 in the South Region by Scout.com, Blue has spent the past two weekends making official visits. He tripped to Oklahoma last weekend before wrapping up the recruiting cycle with a trip to Louisville this weekend.
"It went really good," he told Cardinal Authority shortly before boarding a flight back to Montgomery, Ala.
Blue was among eight Cardinal commitments making his official visit over the weekend and is expected to sign his Letter of Intent with U of L on Wednesday.
"Blue is a defender who will likely start out at safety and could either stay there, or move down to outside linebacker depending on his size and the scheme he plays in," reads his Scout player analysis. "He is an athlete who has played both sides of the ball and he plays with good on the field speed. He can close on the ball and he has shown good range on the back-end of the defense. Needs to add weight to his frame and get stronger."
