A Louisville commitment since July, Louisville Male's Keion Wakefield made his official visit with his future school over the weekend.
While on campus, the three-star wide receiver spent time visiting with the coaches, players and fellow prospects, as well as getting a more in-depth look at his next school.
"The visit went fine," he said. "It was fun. I got a chance to see what it would be like to be a college student."
The 5-foot-11, 175-pound speedster is rated as one of the Bluegrass State's top prospects. Despite being injured for much of his senior season, Wakefield helped the Bulldogs to an undefeated season and the 6A title. He hauled in 1,833 yards and 27 touchdowns during his prep career and is No. 16 at his postion in the region.
While he didn't go in-depth about his immediate plans as a true freshman during his most recent visit, Wakefield knows that he'll be asked to help his future squad in multiple ways.
"I know that I'll play a little slot and a little bit at special teams," "I take pride in punt returns."
One of the final recruits to complete his official visit on Sunday, Wakefield enjoyed his visits with the coaching staff and the expectations for the ACC program.
"They were real good visits," he said. "They said they were excited for next season and that they can't wait to get started."
