Defensive lineman Kevin Hamilton of Prattville High School is one of the top prospects in the state of Alabama. Hamilton spoke with ITV on Thursday evening and talked about the Cardinals.

Defensive lineman Kevin Hamilton of Prattville, Alabama has an impressive list of schools making contacts, as well as those that have extended offers. ITV spoke with Kevin and his father Kevin, Sr. on Thursday evening and was informed that Louisville is among the impressive list of schools.

"It's going really good," said Hamilton of his recruiting. "I'm hearing from Auburn, Clemson, Louisville, Arkansas and LSU the most. Louisville, Clemson, Arkansas and LSU have offered me."

Hamilton, who has an intimidating 6'3, 255-pound frame, has camped at Auburn and most recently UAB. His performance at both camps has increased the interest in Hamilton, who sports a 4.88 forty and a 31 inch vertical leap.

He has yet to make any unofficial visits and informed ITV that he plans on taking all of his official visits prior to making a college choice.

"I like the coach that is recruiting me," said Hamilton of Louisville assistant Joe Whitt Jr. "He's told me that I would have a good opportunity to come in and play early there."

Kevin's father also told ITV that his son receives mail from the Cardinals at least twice a week, including frequent hand written letters. He also explained that the opportunity to play as a true freshman will play a role in his son's college decision.

Hamilton, who became a starter his freshman season at Prattville, was recently named to the Mobile (AL) Register's Elite 18.
