Austin Cummins, the No. 1 ranked tight end in the state of Alabama, signed with the University of Louisville on Wednesday. He had been committed to Louisville since last March but did look at other schools.

Stevenson, Ala., North Jackson tight end Austin Cummins had several other schools inquire in recent months and he did listen. But on Wednesday the No. 1 tight end in the state of Alabama signed with the University of Louisville.

The 6-foot-5, 235-pound Cummins said the official visit all but sealed the deal for him.

"I just loved it at Louisville; everything about it," Cummins said. "I felt like I was at home and I'm excited to get back there and be part of coach (Bobby) Petrino's offense. I love how they use the tight end."
