Tucker, Ga., outside linebacker Tabarius Peterson has signed to play for the University of Louisville

Tucker, Ga., outside linebacker Tabarius Peterson has signed with the University of Louisville. Peterson has been committed to the Cardinals since July and inked on Wednesday.

Tucker, Ga., outside linebacker Tabarius Peterson picked the University of Louisville for a number of reasons.

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Peterson picked the Cardinals because of the style of defense, an opportunity to play as a freshman and the style of coaching he'll get from defensive coordinator Todd Grantham.

And then when he looked at the U of L roster he smiled.

"I know a lot of those names," Peterson said of the Georgia natives on the U of L roster. "I don't know any of them except Aaron Epps, who just graduated. But I know a lot of the names and have played against a couple of guys.

"I'm really excited to be part of it now. I think we're going to do some special things."

A three-star prospect, Peterson had a sensational senior season. He said other schools tried to get involved but "I just liked Louisville. I can't wait to get there. I'm down for the team, whatever I need to do."
