Louisville DeSales punter Austin Johnson signed his Letter of Intent to become a new member of the Cardinals football program in front of a packed gym at his school on Wednesday morning.
"It's a dream come true," he said after putting pen to paper. "Words can't describe how I feel."
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Johnson - whose brother Ryan was also a punter at U of L - received a scholarship offer last April and took Bobby Petrino up on his offer.
Rated as the No. 5 punter prospect nationally by Scout.com, Johnson is also expected to compete for the kicking duties at U of L.
