University of Louisville women's basketball signee Jazmine Jones ended her six-year varsity career at Tallahassee Florida A&M High School on top Wednesday night with another state title.
The 6-foot Jones, who signed with the Cardinals in November, scored 18 points and had six rebounds in the final to help lead the Rattlers to a second consecutive Class 2-A state title in the Sunshine State.
FAMU has now won four state titles in five years with Jones on the roster each of those seasons.
"Jazmine Jones makes all the difference in the world," Karim Nohra, whose Academy of the Lakes team lost to the Rattlers in the title game, told TampaBay.com. "You take any 2A team that was here (at the state semifinals) and you put Jazmine on that team, that team wins states."
Jones averages 22 points and eight rebounds a game as a senior.
She'll enroll at U of L in June and will be one of five freshmen for the Cardinals next season.
