Among a large group of prospects from multiple states attending Louisville's Junior Day on Saturday was Springfield (Ill) Southeast athlete Gavin Webb.
Making his first visit with the Cardinals program, Webb toured the facilities and met with coaches during his time on campus. What he experienced was something that already felt familiar.
"Great day overall," he said. "The Ville feels like home. We had introductions to the coaching staff and a meet and greet with the position coaches. We watched a hyped promo video. We also split up with the position coaches in the meeting rooms. Toured the football facilities and took a campus tour."
While listed as a wide receiver, Webb has become a threat at multiple positions at Southeast, also playing quarterback and defensive back.
"I'm strong in every position," he said "I can throw the ball, get yards after the catch, also get separation from the defensive back when running routes."
In addition to Louisville, Webb is garnering interest from Illinois state, Illinois, Northern Illinois, Iowa state, Army and Wyoming. Up next in his travels is a Junior Day visit with Northern Illinois on March 4.
