Rising Birmingham (Ala.) Ramsay wide receiver Genori Parrish made the trip north last weekend to attend Louisville's Junior Day. It was the first trip to visit the Cardinals program for the 6-foot-1, 175-pound prospect, where he spent time touring the facilities and campus, along with meeting with members of the coaching staff.
"I loved the school," he told Cardinal Authority.
While meeting with the coaches, Parrish and the other visitors, learned of the goals and expectations within the Bobby Petrino-led program.
"The coaching staff were all friendly and caring about the players and that is definitely an environment that I want to be in," he said.
Parrish, who is also drawing early interest from Darmouth and UAB, is proving to be a receiver that isn't concerned about going after a reception with defenders closing in on him. He credits that ability, along with his work ethic, that will help succeed on the college level.
"As I player I am hard working," he said. "Nobody else on the team will ever out work me in the weight room or on the field. One of my strengths is catching the ball in traffic. When the ball is in the air I already know I am going to catch it. I also know how to get open well."
