Cincinnati LaSalle offensive lineman Thayer Munford made a visit to Louisville last weekend; was offered by Cards in May

Cincinnati LaSalle offensive lineman Thayer Munford made an unofficial visit to the University of Louisville last weekend for the Cardinals' Junior Day festivities. Munford recaps the visit to Louisville where he holds an offer.

Cincinnati LaSalle offensive lineman Thayer Munford picked up an offer from the University of Louisville last May.

The Cardinals were the fifth school to offer Munford, a 6-foot-6, 330-pound lineman who has since added more. Munford was able to get to Louisville and check out campus last weekend for Junior Day.

Munford made the trip down I-71 and said he "really enjoyed" his trip to Louisville.

"The visit went great got to learn more about Louisville," Munford said. "The atmosphere was tremendous. When we went to the basketball game it was louder than I ever imagined."

Munford said the U of L coaches met with him and told him he's a top option for them at offensive line. The Cardinals are expected to sign at least two - and perhaps three - linemen in next year's class.

"I heard from the coaches that I was No. 1 on their list," Munford said. "I was very happy about that."

As a sophomore, Munford was named third-team All-GCL for the state champion Lancers. He was third-team All-State and first-team All-GCL as a junior this past season.

Munford also has offers from Indiana, Bowling Green, Iowa State, Toledo and Kentucky.
