"A lot of my friends signed with Louisville last year, so it would probably feel like home," said Manning.
Manning (6'0, 170) has size and speed. He has been timed with a 4.4 forty speed. As a junior, Manning played all of the field seeing action at defensive end, linebacker and strong safety. This season he will play cornerback and wide receiver with most schools projecting him as a cornerback.
Manning told ITV that he currently has four programs that currently top his list in Florida, Louisville, Nebraska and Tennessee. All of his favorites have extended scholarship offers, as has other programs such as Clemson, Michigan State and Iowa State.
"I have a great relationship with Coach Petrino," said Manning of Louisville. "I know that I can have the opportunity to play early there."
Manning, who has already qualified to play as a freshman, also told ITV that all of his favorites have told him that he would have the opportunity to see early action.
Lincoln High School will once again have a team loaded with future Division I athletes and is sure to climb within the USA Today Super 25 rankings throughout the season.
