Navarre, Fla., offensive lineman Nick Brahms has a rapidly growing list of scholarship offers, with Louisville becoming one of the most recent this week.
"I was very excited when they offered me," he told Cardinal Authority.
U of L assistant Pete Nochta has been building a relationship with Brahms and was the one to extend the offer.
"They play great football and they have a very great program up there," he said. "Coach Pete Nochta, who played for Louisville, told me to call him and said that I have an offer."
The 6-foot-5, 280-pound prospect also includes Virginia, Minnesota, Marshall, Florida Atlantic and UCF among a list of offers that has climbed over a dozen. A schedule to visit Louisville, and a collection of others that continue to express an interest.
"I am going to come visit (Louisville) sometime," he said. "I'm also going to visit Duke, USF, Stanford, Florida, Virginia, and Yale."
Brahms, who says that he continually goes "back and forth about committing early" is enjoying the recruiting process.
"I've had a lot of fun with it," he said. "However, with all the attention players get during the process, it's easy to get cocky. I always remember the work that got me to the point I'm at and I'm always going to keep working no matter how many offers I have. Never taking it for granted."
