The University of Louisville won its 11th consecutive ACC series, sweeping Notre Dame this weekend after a 1-0 decision on Saturday.
The Cardinals got eight strong innings from Drew Harrington, who struck out eight and scattered five hits in his third win of the season. Zach Burdi came in to retire the side in the ninth for his first save.
Nick Solak had three of the six hits for the Cardinals, but it was Logan Taylor with the heroics. Taylor, who bunted into a double play on Saturday night on a squeeze play, laid down a perfect squeeze in the eighth inning.
Taylor's squeeze plated Ryan Summers, who started the inning with a single, for the lone run of the game.
Louisville is now 13-2 on the season and 3-0 in ACC play, The Cardinals host Xavier on Tuesday at 3 p.m. and Wright State on Wednesday at 11 a.m. before traveling to Miami for a three-game series starting on Friday.
