Louisville, Frankie Hughes part ways

Three-star shooting guard Frankie Hughes is no longer a Louisville signee, as the two parties have agreed to part ways.

Louisville and Frankie Hughes have "mutually agreed" to part ways, a source close to the situation told Scout.

Hughes, a 6-foot-3 shooting guard out of Garfield Heights (Ohio) High, committed to Louisville in late October and signed in November.

A three-star prospect, Hughes is known for his athleticism and long-range shooting.

Five-star wing V.J. King is Louisville's lone high school recruit in the 2016 recruiting class. The Cardinals do, however, hold a pledge from graduate transfer Tony Hicks and are actively pursuing other transfer options.
