Louisville is now in the final five for former UNLV commitment Christian Vital; he's a three-star guard in the Class of 2016

The University of Louisville men's basketball program is in the final five for former UNLV commitment Christian Vital. The three-star guard is expected to make a decision in the next month and sign in April.

The University of Louisville men's basketball staff is looking for another player to add to its roster for next season.

And on Friday, the Cardinals landed in the final five for former UNLV commitment Christian Vital. The 6-foot-2 three-star guard said he is also considering Marquette, Connecticut, Iowa and Alabama.

He's expected to make some visits soon and make a decision in April.

Vital had been committed to UNLV but didn't sign and last week said he was re-opening his recruitment following a coaching change at UNLV.

He played at St. Thomas Moore School in Oakdale, Conn. Vital was one of the top players in the prestigious NEPSAC this year, and he helped lead St. Thomas More to a runner up finish.
