Louisville takes the third game of a series with Virginia, blowing out the Cavaliers 15-0 on Sunday afternoon at Jim Patterson

The University of Louisville baseball team tagged defending national champion Virginia 15-0 in the third game of the series at Jim Patterson Stadium. The Cardinals won two of three games and now have a 19-5 record on the season.

Eight players had hits, seven players had RBIs and in the fifth inning the Louisville baseball team scored 10 runs.

Oh, and Drew Harrington pitched a gem.

It was a great Easter Sunday for the Cardinals at Jim Patterson Stadium, rolling to a 15-0 victory and beating Virginia in two of three games of the series to move to 19-5 on the season.

The Cardinals (19-5) outscored Virginia 26-4 in the final two games after pounding out 14 hits against the Cavaliers.

First baseman Danny Rosenbaum led the Cardinals with three hits, while Corey Ray, Devin Mann and Rosenbaum had three RBIs apiece. Devin Hairston added two RBIs.

Harrington moved to 5-1 on the season, allowing just four hits and walking zero in seven innings.

The Cardinals will play at Western Kentucky on Tuesday night and host Virginia Tech next weekend.
