Louisville extends an offer to 2019 defensive tackle Jacob Lacey; one of the top in-state prospects in the '19 class

Bowling Green, Ky., South Warren 2019 defensive tackle Jacob Lacey has landed his third scholarship offer. Lacey has landed an offer from the University of Louisville, adding to Tennessee and Eastern Kentucky.

Bowling Green, Ky., South Warren High School 2019 defensive tackle Jacob Lacey added a third scholarship offer on Monday afternoon and it was a big in-state one.

The 6-foot-1, 295-pound Lacey landed an offer from the University of Louisville. He already had offers from Eastern Kentucky University and had picked one up over the weekend from Tennessee.

"I was so surprised," Lacey said. "My coach said they wanted to talk to me and once they said they were offering me a scholarship, I freaked out. I had no words to describe how I happy I truly was. I am truly blessed."

Lacey helped South Warren to a 15-0 record and Class 4-A state title. He had 33 tackles and two fumble recoveries.

Lacey is considered one of the top prospects in the state regardless of class.

He's the first in-state prospect in the '19 class offered by U of L.
