Towering 2018 QB Makes Visit
Brandon Leach, a 6-foot-7, 225-pound quarterback from Pinckney, Mich., made a visit to Louisville's practice last week.
Leach, who is a Canadian, said he's starting to get a lot of schools showing interest in him.
"The visit was great," Leach said. "I had an awesome time watching the team practice and talking with some of the coaches. I really liked it at Louisville and was impressed."
Leach has been to Michigan several times and is also hearing from Michigan State, Notre Dame, Miami, Tennessee, Toledo, Vanderbilt, Eastern Michigan, Miami of Ohio and Cincinnati.
Trinity stars visit practice
Several stars from Trinity High School have been at practice in the last week.
Tight end Noah Ellison, a top in-state prospect in the 2017 class, was at practice last Wednesday. Ellison had 17 catches for 214 yards and two touchdowns last season as a junior.
On Tuesday, twins Jovan and Jovel Smith and running back Roderick Thomas were on hand to watch practice. Thomas was a backup last season and had 37 carries for 202 yards and two touchdowns.
The Smith brothers are two of the top athletes in the state. Jovan Smith is a top 2017 prospect statewide as a running back and rushed 51 times for 392 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior.
Jovel Smith had six catches for 100 yards and can play wide receiver or cornerback.
Cards in mix for Georgia WR
Conyers, Ga., Salem wide receiver Justin Marshall said the Cardinals are "way up there" and confirmed that he will be in attendance for the Spring Game next weekend.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound three-star Marshall recently tweeted his top seven schools: Maryland, U of L, West Virginia, Cincinnati, North Carolina, N.C. State and Western Kentucky.
He was being recruited by Lonnie Galloway at West Virginia.
Atlanta athlete lands U of L offer
Galloway has offered Atlanta Pace Academy athlete Deon Jackson, who could play either side of the ball but likely a safety.
The 6-foot-1, 205-pound Jackson also has offers from Maryland, Boston College, Mercer, Oregon State and Colorado State and said he plans on camping at Georgia and Clemson.
Jackson ranks as the No. 55 athlete in the country.
QB/Athlete visiting for spring game
Louisville is expecting a ton of prospects for the spring game, including Montgomery, Ala., Park Crossing quarterback/athlete Malik Cunningham, who holds an offer from the Cardinals.
The 6-foot, 187-pound three-star prospect said he will be at the spring game.
Cunningham has more than a dozen offers and said Louisville was "up there" in a recent interview.

**IMG Academy 2018 four-star wide receiver Brian Hightower added offers from Louisville and Georgia on Tuesday. The 6-foot-3, 185-pound Hightower also has offers from Miami, Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Ohio State and Oklahoma among others.
**Brunswick, Ga., Glynn Academy wide receiver Deejay Dallas now holds an offer from the Cardinals. The 6-foot, 195-pound Dallas is a four star and ranked No. 242 among the Scout300 in the Class of 2017.
