After signing just one offensive lineman in the 2016 recruiting class, Louisville added a second on Sunday afternoon in College of the Canyons sophomore Linwood Foy committing to the Cardinals.
The 6-foot-5, 280-pound Foy spent the weekend in Louisville on an official visit, receiving a scholarship offer from head coach Bobby Petrino on Saturday afternoon. He committed to the Cardinals over overs from New Mexico State, Hawaii and a host of FCS-level programs.
Foy, who said it was a "shocker" when Louisville began to express an interest, is looking forward to continuing his development along the offensive front.
"I'm very coachable," Foy told Cardinal Authority. "I like to get dirty on the field, I like to take care of business."
Missouri, Baylor and Colorado were among those expressing recent interest.
A product of Los Angeles (Calif.) St. Genevieve High School, Foy arrived at College of the Canyons following a prep career that saw him being named among the state's top defensive ends as a senior. He converted to offensive tackle following his first season in junior college.
