ITV Recruiting Exclusive -Running back Michael Hobbs of Andalusia, Alabama informed ITV recently that he would trip to Louisville for an unofficial visit this weekend.

Running back Michael Hobbs (5'10, 182) of Straughn High School in Andalusia, Alabama informed earlier this week that he would be making a trip up to Louisville to for an unofficial visit to the Louisville Football complex. Hobbs will be in Louisville Friday and Saturday and will attend practice on Friday.

"I hear from Coach Whitt a lot," said Hobbs. "I really like him. He talked to Coach Petrino and the running backs coach about me and said that they both like what they see in me."

Hobbs, who also plays safety, told ITV that the correspondence from the Louisville staff indicated that they were most interested in him playing in the backfield.

While he hasn't received an offer to date, he is hearing regularly from programs such as Auburn, Middle Tennessee State, Southern Miss and Troy State.

So would he accept a scholarship offer from the Cardinals staff during his visit if one was extended? "I haven't thought about it to much, but I would probably accept it while there," said Hobbs.

As a junior at Straughn, Hobbs rushed for 1,547 yards and 16 touchdowns on 238 carries, an average of 6.5 per carry. He also pulled in 18 receptions for 193 yards and a touchdown.

He's also an excellent student (3.8 GPA, 23 ACT) and is already fully qualified.
