The U of L football program announced their individual awards for the 2015 season during halftime of the spring game on Saturday

The Louisville football team announced the 2015 individual award winners during the program's annual Red-White Spring Game on Saturday.

Lamar Jackson, who established multiple school freshman records last fall, was chosen as the Offensive Player of the Year, with Devonte Fields, the team's leader with 10.5 sacks and 22.5 tackles for a loss, collecting the Defensive Player of the Year honor.

Projected by many to be a first-round selection in the upcoming NFL Draft, defensive lineman Sheldon Rankins was honored as the team's Most Valuable Player.
