Offensive lineman 'loved' Louisville visit

Overland Park, Kan., Blue Valley offensive lineman Kirrian Kirby visited Louisville for the spring game

Overland Park, Kan., Blue Valley offensive lineman Kirrian Kirby made his third to trip to visit Louisville over the weekend, this time for the program's annual Red-White Spring Game.

The 6-foot-3, 275-pound lineman was among the large group of prospects that spent Saturday morning touring the U of L football facilities, meeting with coaches and watching the Cardinals two-hour scrimmage.

"I loved it," he said. "I've been there twice before and it's always great."

Kirby has also visited Kansas, Kansas State and Iowa State in recent weeks and is currently making plans to camp.

"I'm going to attend a Kansas State summer camp and Kansas."

Kirby has formed a strong relationship with U of L offensive line coach Chris Klenakis and have discussed the possibility of him returning to the Derby City to participate in the Cardinals camp.

"I talked with coach K a lot last visit and [on Saturday] we talked about scheduling a camp day to come out to," he explained.

Kirby was an All-State and All-Metro selection following his junior season.
