Suwanee, Ga., Peachtree Ridge High School linebacker Kam Jones is getting close to a decision.
The 6-foot-1, 225-pound Jones said he made a visit to the University of Louisville for the Cardinals' spring game last weekend and "really liked" what he saw with the U of L program.
Now, Jones said it's between U of L, Mississippi State and Northwestern.
"I want to make a decision soon," he said. "Either after spring practice or sometime in May. It's a big month for me because my dad and brother both have birthdays in May, so it's a big month.
"I'll do it sometime in the month of May."
Jones said the Cardinals are up in the mix because of several reasons, including defensive coordinator Todd Grantham. His former teammate Malik Staples has signed with U of L and will enroll in May, while teammate Connor Heyward also holds a U of L offer.
"It was real good," Jones said of the spring game. "I like Louisville and what they do on defense. I've bonded with the coaches and I like how they use their players on defense.
"I love the way (Grantham) coaches."
Jones averaged 4.5 tackles and one sack a game in 10 games last season for Peachtree Ridge.
