Here's a University of Louisville football recruiting notebook, including several new scholarship offers and an update on a prospect that could be making a decision sometime soon.

Decision coming for Alabama linebacker?

Birmingham, Ala., Carver three-star linebacker Tadarrius Patterson made a visit to the University of Louisville for the spring game and said he's getting closer to making a decision.

The 6-foot-2, 221-pound Patterson said he would make his decision at either his school's spring game or the season opener.

Patterson is considering Louisville and has the Cardinals on top, but also has offers from Auburn, Tennessee, Mississippi State, California, Kentucky and Virginia Tech.

Cards offer UK quarterback commitment

Louisville has extended a lot of offers in the past few days, including one to Kentucky 4-star 2017 quarterback commitment Mac Jones.

The 6-foot-2, 175-pound is ranked as the top quarterback in the state of Florida and has been committed to UK since July. He also now has recently picked up offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Rutgers, Illinois, Vanderbilt and Washington State among others.

As a junior, Jones threw for 2,219 yards as a junior, with 26 TDs against 5 interceptions.

A top West Coast safety gets offer

K.J. Jarrell, who is ranked as the No. 2 2017 safety prospect on the West Coast, now holds an offer from Louisville.

The 6-3, 185-pound Jarrell attends Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, Ariz., and reports the offer from the Cardinals is No. 15. He also has offers from Arizona State, Arizona, California, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, Wisconsin, UCLA, Washington and others.

As a junior, Jarrell had 56 tackles, one interception and a ton of big hits.

**U of L also offered Jarrell's teammate - sophomore running back Josiah Bradley. It was the 6-1, 200-pound Bradley's first offer.

Cards offer longtime Miami commitment

Jacksonville, Fla., The Bolles School safety Ahman Ross is a longtime commitment to Miami but landed an offer from the Louisville staff on Monday evening.

The 6-foot, 185-pound Ross, a three-star prospect, has been committed to Miami since Sept. of 2015.

Ross is a three-year starter and All-Coast first team at Bolles. He has multiple interceptions and multiple defensive touchdowns in each of his three seasons as a starter.

A few more 2017 offers

**U of L offered Mississippi Gulf Coast offensive tackle D'Marcus Hayes, who is a former teammate of current U of L player Trey Smith at Madison, Ala., Central High School. Hayes is a 6-foot-5, 300-pound tackle.

**Vero Beach, Fla., outside linebacker Corvin Moment added a Louisville offer to ones from Florida Atlantic, Syracuse and Western Michigan. He's a 6-foot-1, 200-pound prospect.

**Madison, Ga., Morgan County defensive lineman has added an offer from U of L. The 6-foot-4, 258-pound Webb is a four-star prospect and ranks as the No. 3 lineman in the state of Georgia.

Other 2018 offers

**The Cardinals offered Greensboro, N.C., Northwest Guilford wide receiver Tre Turner. He also has offers from Florida State, West Virginia, North Carolina, Duke and Virginia Tech. Turner finished his sophomore season with 60 catches for 990 yards and 10 touchdowns.

**Woodbridge, Va., safety Dashaun Jerkins added a Louisville offer to his list that includes North Carolina, N.C. State and Maryland.

**Lorenzo Lingard, a four-star running back from University High on Orange Park, Fla., has an offer from U of L. He added the Cardinals' offer to ones from Florida State, Florida, Clemson and Miami.

**Tampa, Fla., Tech defensive end now has offers from U of L, Miami, Florida, Penn State and South Florida.

**U of L is the third offer - along with Mississippi State and Charlotte - for Madison, Ga., Morgan County four-star outside linebacker Quin Williams.

**Fort Meade, Fla., offensive tackle Cleveland Reed added an offer from the Cardinals.
