Louisville already 'feels like home' to tight end signee Austin Cummins; visited spring game and will arrive on campus next month

University of Louisville signee Austin Cummins was on campus last week for the spring game and said he "already feels like home' when he's around the U of L program. Cummins will arrive on campus next month.

Stevenson, Ala., North Jackson High School tight end Austin Cummins signed with the University of Louisville in February and will arrive on campus in late May to begin his career with the Cardinals.

But before he arrives for good, Cummins was at the spring game for a quick visit.

The 6-foot-5, 235-pound Cummins - ranked as the No. 1 tight end in Alabama - said he was excited to see how the offense performed during the spring game last weekend.

"It was a great day with the game and the crowd," Cummins said. "It already feels like home to me. I've already made friends with a lot of the guys who will be there next year with me, even some guys already on the team.

"I just can't wait to get back up there."

Cummins, a three-star prospect who was selected to the 40-man Alabama All-Star team that participated in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game, caught 11 passes for 225 yards and four touchdowns as a senior. He also had 28 tackles, including two sacks, and blocked a kick.
