Seth Dawkins, a talented wide receiver from Ohio, is ready to get his career going at Louisville; was at the spring game last weekend

University of Louisville signee Seth Dawkins of Columbus, Ohio, is ready to get going with the Cardinals. He was at the recent spring game, loved what he saw and will return to enroll in classes on June 5.

With just over a month until he arrives on campus for his college career to begin, Columbus, Ohio, Franklin Heights standout wide receiver said he watched the University of Louisville spring game with a little smile on his face.

"Man, they scored 73 points in a spring game," Dawkins said.

The future U of L receiver watched Lamar Jackson throw for over 500 yards and eight touchdowns, including to seven different receivers and said he can't wait to be part of the offense for the Cardinals.

"The game was exciting to watch," he said. "It's going to be fun.

Dawkins was able to hang out with about 15 other signees and walk-ons headed to U of L in the next month or so.

"We were all laughing and having a good time," he said. "It was fun hanging out with them."

Dawkins comes from an athletic family.  His father - Bernie - played football at Louisville - and mother - DuBonna - who was a track star at Ohio State. Dawkins' three sisters all had accomplished track careers and went on to run in college at Youngstown State, Cincinnati and Marshall.

Dawkins had 1,750 all-purpose yards and 23 touchdowns as a senior.  He is rated as a three-star prospect and is among the Top 20 wide receiver prospects in the Midwest Region.
