Junior college offensive lineman Linwood Foy remains committed to Louisville following a couple of visits; says final decision coming soon

College of the Canyons offensive lineman Linwood Foy committed to the University of Louisville last month but has since made two more official visits. Foy tells Cardinal Authority that a final decision could "be coming soon."

College of the Canyons offensive lineman Linwood Foy made a commitment to the University of Louisville football staff following his visit to check out the Cardinals' campus on April 9.

But since then the interest level for other schools has picked up.

The 6-foot-5, 280-pound Foy has made official visits to Missouri and Auburn and said coaches at Texas Tech and Arizona State have asked for him to make his final official visit to their schools.

"Right now, I'm still verbally committed to Louisville," Foy said. "I don't know when I'm going to know for sure, but I think it's just a matter of time before I make a final decision."

Foy, who said he doesn't have a date for when he wants to know, said he's staying patient.

"There's no date when I have to sign," he said, "The Louisville coaches (Dave Boller and Chris Klenakis), I've continued to talk to them and they know I never had this process before. It's been a lot of fun."

A product of Los Angeles (Calif.) St. Genevieve High School, Foy arrived at College of the Canyons following a prep career that saw him being named among the state's top defensive ends as a senior.  He converted to offensive tackle following his first season in junior college.
