Louisville added another to its 2017 recruiting class on Sunday with the commitment of Las Vegas (Nev.) Desert Pine offensive guard Poutasi Poutasi.
The 6-foot-3, 275-pound lineman picked up a scholarship offer from the Cardinals program last week and didn't take long to act on it. U of L offensive line coach Chris Klenakis made the trip west and extended the offer while visiting his school.
"They came to my school and saw some of my film," Poutasi told Cardinal Authority shortly after announcing his decision. "He loved it so much he offered and I just felt like it was the best thing for me right now. I've always loved Louisville."
Poutasi, the younger brother of Tennessee Titan offensive lineman Jeremiah Poutasi, also held offers from UNLV, Nevada, San Diego State, Colorado State and others, with interest rising from Arizona State, Michigan, Utah, Washington and others.
He announced his decision to become a Cardinal via Twitter.
Poutasi is currently rated as the top offensive guard prospect in Nevada and is No. 31 at his spot nationally.
