Jeremy Patton, one of the most sought-after junior college tight ends in the Class of 2017, has schedule an official visit to the University of Louisville for June 2-4.
The 6-foot-7, 240-pound Patton, who has over 20 scholarship offers, has also set up a visit to Arkansas. He told Scout.com those two visits and perhaps one to Florida would be the only ones he makes prior to his sophomore season at Arizona Western.
Patton would then likely make two more after his season before making a decision.
While the Cardinals and the Razorbacks appear to have an edge in the recruitment, Patton also has offers from South Carolina, Alabama, Arizona State, Arizona, Tennessee, Utah and Oklahoma State among others.
U of L offensive line coach Chris Klenakis was in to see Patton this week.
As a freshman last season, Patton led the Matadors with four touchdown receptions while posting 17 catches for 316 yards.
Patton is on pace to finish up his two-year degree in December and he will have three years to play two following the 2016 football season. He's originally from Indianapolis and played high school ball at Lawrence Central.
