Destiny Littleton, one of the top targets in the Class of 2017 for the University of Louisville women's basketball staff, narrowed her list to six schools and the Cardinals made the cut.
The 5-foot-8 Littleton, who is from San Diego, Calif., tweeted her listing of six schools as: U of L, Michigan, South Carolina, USC, Syracuse and UCLA.
A member of the 2015 U16 National team, Littleton is ranked as the No. 9 prospect in the country by ESPN.com.
U of L targets on USA tryout list
There are plenty of top U of L targets in Colorado Springs, Colo., this weekend for the USA Basketball Women’s U17 World Championship Team Trials. The tryouts will help USA Basketball select a 12-player team for the USA Women’s U17 World Championship Team.
Among those trying out are the two commitments the Cardinals' currently hold - 2017 forward Loretta Kakala of Manteca, Calif., and 2019 guard Nyah Green of Allen, Texas.
Also at the 17U team tryouts: Destiny Littleton, 2018 target Caitlin Bickle of Cave Creek, Ariz., 2018 guard Mykasa Robinson of Ashland, Ky., and 2019 guard Zoe Young of Urbandale, Iowa.
Expected at the U18 National team tryouts that begin on Saturday will be U of L signee Kylee Shook, who will enroll next week in school. Also expected there is 2017 guard Evina Westbrook of Salem, Ore., 2017 wing Micaela Wilson of Rayville, La., and Dana Evans of Gary, Ind.
Evans will visit Cards
Dana Evans, a 5-foot-6 point guard from Gary, Ind., told ESPN.com that she would visit Louisville on June. 7.
Evans, who averaged 35.8 points a game as a junior at West Side High School, has already been on campus at Marquette and Purdue. She's also expected to visit Indiana on June 9 and UCLA sometime next month.
