A few recruiting notes from the University of Louisville football program, including more offers extended from the Cardinals' staff.

U of L coach visits Poutasi

Las Vegas Desert Pines offensive lineman Poutasi Poutasi committed to the University of Louisville two weeks ago. On Tuesday, Poutasi said he got his first visit since his commitment from one of his future coaches.

The 6-foot-3, 275-pound Poutasi said U of L offensive line coach Chris Klenakis stopped by his school.

"We talked about how fired up they are to have me as a Cardinal," Poutasi said. "We didn't talk too long because he watched me work out."

Poutasi, the younger brother of Tennessee Titan offensive lineman Jeremiah Poutasi, also held offers from UNLV, Nevada, San Diego State, Colorado State and others, with interest rising from Arizona State, Michigan, Utah, Washington and others.


3-star DT will visit U of L

Nashville, Tenn., Hillsboro High School defensive tackle Ben Hutch is expected to be on campus on Friday.

The 6-foot-3, 280-pound Hutch - a three-star prospect - is expected to make an unofficial visit to the Cardinals' campus. He could be coming with several of his teammates from Hillsboro.

Hutch is the No. 2 defensive tackle in Tennessee. He also has offers from Texas A&M, Memphis, Tennessee and others.


Florida WR watching Louisville

Sheffner, Fla., Armwood wide receiver Warren Thompson said he has Louisville as one of his top seven schools.

The 6-foot-4, 185-pound Thompson said he's being recruited by U of L QBs coach Nick Petrino.

Thompson is also looking at Miami, Florida, Penn State, North Carolina and South Florida and hopes to make an unofficial visit to Louisville sometime this summer or early in the fall.


A couple of new offers

***U of L is the latest to offer Murfreesboro, Tenn., Oakland 2018 linebacker Justice Dingle.

***Sachse, Tx., 2018 wide receiver Drue Jackson added an offer from Louisville. He also has offers from Iowa, Texas Tech and Utah.
