The University of Louisville football staff extended an offer to Belfry High School defensive tackle Cole Bentley. It was the 25th offer for one of the top 2017 prospects in the state of Kentucky.

Belfry High School defensive tackle Cole Bentley had been hearing a lot from the University of Louisville football staff.

In fact, U of L offensive line coach Chris Klenakis made a visit to Belfry last week and then called back on Tuesday extending an offer to Bentley. It was the 25th offer for the 6-foot-5, 300-pound Bentley.

"He told me they loved my athleticism, feet and hips," Bentley said. "He said they want me to be a Cardinal."

Bentley said Marshall and Toledo are the schools after him the hardest, but he also has offers from Georgia Tech, Virginia, Colorado State, Cincinnati, Memphis, Purdue, Air Force and others.

He's one of the elite 2017 prospects in the state of Kentucky.
