The University of Louisville football staff continues on its recruiting roll.
The Cardinals have landed a third commitment in less than 24 hours after Atlanta tight end Kemari Averett confirmed he committed to U of L head coach Bobby Petrino. He's the first commitment for U of L offensive coordinator Lonnie Galloway.
The 6-foot-7, 240-pound Averett is commitment No. 8 in the Class of 2017 for the Cardinals.
Averett had 22 catches for 395 yards and five touchdowns last season in 11 games. He averaged 17.9 yards a catch and has also played some on the defensive line at Grady.
He also had offers from Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky.
