Manual wide receiver Jaelin Carter participated in Louisville's camp last weekend; Carter was excited with the way he performed

Manual High School wide receiver Jaelin Carter spent part of last weekend at the University of Louisville's football camp. Carter is one of the top prospects in the Louisville-area and talks about his time at U of L's camp.

Manual High School's Jaelin Carter had perhaps the best play of the entire 2015 season in Kentucky.

Carter, who is a top wide receiver prospect in the Class of 2017, hauled in a one-handed touchdown pass against Central that made it onto ESPN's Top Plays of the Night back in August.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Carter finished the season with 34 catches for 461 yards and four TDs.

Now, Carter is making a few rounds at camps this summer hoping to impress the college coaches. He was at the University of Louisville last Saturday and was one of the best offensive prospects at the camp.

"I thought I did a good job," Carter said. "I tried to get as many routes In as possible and go up against every defensive back on the field so that I could show that I was the best wide receiver on the field at all times.

"The coaches even before the camp today just told me to come to the camp and bring everything I had to the table and I believe that I did that today. So I'm hoping if everything goes well I'll have the offer in the next few days."

Carter said he's starting to get some Division I interest from others but currently only holds an offer from Lindsey Wilson.
