Daphne, Ala., defensive end L.T. Ikner made another trip to Louisville and showed out in drills at the Cardinals' camp over the weekend. Ikner recaps his trip to the U of L campus.

The University of Louisville had a bunch of prospects on campus last weekend and one from the state of Alabama felt like he stood out with his performance at the Cardinals' camp on Saturday.

Daphne, Ala., defensive end L.T. Ikner said the Cardinals are still high on his list after his visit to camp. He was also at U of L for the spring game and said L.D. Scott is recruiting him.

"They said I was the D-line MVP if they would have given out an award," said Ikner, noting he won all eight of his one-on-one drills.

The 6-foot-3, 235-pound Ikner said he's been to several places, including Mississippi State, Auburn, Alabama, UAB, Samford and Arkansas State.

But he said he "really likes" Scott as a coach and person.

"Coach Scott said I did great and I have the ability to play D-1 at any school," Ikner said. "But he said I just need to put on some pounds to get back up to 240-245 and every school will be knocking down my door.

"Coach P said he definitely will be in touch and they love my work ethic."

Cardinal Authority will keep you posted on the recruitment of Ikner.
