Dozens of high school prospects will attend camps with the hope of grabbing the attention of the host school coaching staff and Delray Beach (Fla.) Atlantic offensive lineman Lamar Blue appears to have done just that while at Louisville.
"The camp was really fun," he told Cardinal Authority. "I liked the facilities and the competition."
The 6-foot-6, 320-pound tackle made the trip to the Derby City over the weekend to participate in the first prospect camp for Louisville this season. While still learning the position, Blue displayed nice athleticism for his size and proved eager to improve.
Lightly recruited to this point, Blue believes his performance in front of Bobby Petrino and his staff will help change that.
"As far as the coaches go, they were all nice," he said. "I feel like the offensive line coach took a liking to me and he offered plenty of advice."
In addition to Louisville, Blue is also hearing from Virginia Tech and Western Kentucky.
