Fort Lauderdale, Fla., St. Thomas Aquinas running back Mike Epstein is committed to Illinois but has made several other visits, including the University of Louisville. Epstein recaps his visit to the Cardinals' campus.

Mike Epstein has been committed to Illinois since August of last year.

But the Fort Lauderdale, Fla., St. Thomas Aquinas three-star running back has been getting a ton of interest from some other schools and has made a few visits, including to Michigan and last week to Louisville.

Epstein said Louisville has been in contact for a while and said he "really enjoyed the trip to The Ville."

"The coaches think it's a great fit for me," Epstein said. "Coach P sees me as a versatile back, running and catching the ball out of the backfield. They love the way that I play and the chip I carry on my shoulder."

One of a plethora of Division I athletes at St. Thomas Aquinas, Epstein was injured for much of his junior season after transferring from Cypress Bay High School. He's the No. 82 running back in the country and No. 15 in Florida.

Epstein said he is still committed to Illinois at this point.

"I'm not exactly sure yet," Epstein said when asked about a plan for his recruitment. "As of now, I am committed still to Illinois.
